Governance at MVMPCS

Monocacy Valley Montessori Public Charter School is managed by Monocacy Montessori Communities Inc. (MMCI) and governed by the MVMPCS Governing Council. Meetings are open to parents and staff, and published materials help keep school decisions visible to the community.

Monocacy Montessori Communities Inc. (MMCI)

MMCI is the nonprofit organization that holds the school's charter with the Frederick County Board of Education and supports the operations of MVMPCS and Carroll Creek Montessori. MMCI oversees charter compliance, organizational finances, and major operational responsibilities.

Governing Council

The Governing Council is a standing committee of the MMCI Board of Trustees and serves as the policy-making body for MVMPCS. It also functions as the school's School Improvement Team. The council includes parents or guardians, the principal, staff representatives, and community members.
