New Families

New to MVMPCS

Start here for routines, expectations, and first-week logistics

Use this dashboard to get oriented before the first day: enrollment follow-up, attendance, arrival and dismissal, transportation, care options, volunteering, communications, calendar setup, key school documents, and FCPS essentials.

Start Here

Read the Parent Handbook, subscribe to the school calendar, confirm how your family will handle arrival, dismissal, and carline, and make sure at least one parent or guardian is receiving school communications. If someone else regularly picks up your student, please share the arrival, dismissal, and carline expectations with them too.

Charter, volunteer, and family basics

Where do pickup changes or early dismissals go?

All pickup changes, early dismissal plans, transportation updates, and extra carline pickup card requests should go through the school office.

Does MVMPCS provide buses?

No. MVMPCS does not provide school bus transportation. Families are responsible for daily transportation and should plan for carline, carpooling, or approved before/after care arrangements.

Does MVMPCS follow FCPS closings and delays?

Yes. MVMPCS follows FCPS closings and delays. Check FCPS.org and FCPS notification channels for current weather or emergency updates.

What should I do with transportation information sheets?

Transportation information sheets are sent home near the beginning of the school year. Return updates to the office and let the office know if your family needs an extra carline pickup card.
